Alicia Latorre, who is the national president of the Provida Association in Spain and the ADEVIDA Association, spoke about an initiative which similar associations around the world, including Mexico, want to present to the Catholic Church to recognize the act of masturbation as being a form of abortion.

Latorre said: "If we consider contraceptives as being pro-abortion, we must not fool ourselves with double standards: masturbation is clearly a form of abortion"

"Once we obtain the support of the Church, it will be easier to push for states to recognize masturbation as a crime, because that is a crime," she added.

While these statements are a bit controversial for some, for others it is something to laugh about.

When asked of how could it this be considered as an abortion when it was something that was not even not human yet, she replied: "If we accept an embryo as being human, because they do have a soul, then somehow a sperm has the potential of having that soul, therefore, those who masturbate should be considered as committing genocide."

To top off Latorre's controversial statements she said that if they succeed in their quest, then masturbation could be characterized as "willful killing".

Finally, to not penalize women unfairly, she suggested that they would be granted an injunction as an exemption for disposing of reproductive cells once a month. Which to this, all she needed left to say was that menstruation should also be considered as a form of abortion or child abandonment.

Who would of imagined this type of scenario in real life, just like it was portrayed in the movie "Legally Blonde", where during a discussion about sperm in class at the Harvard "law school", Reese Witherspoon's character (Elle) said:"all masturbatory emissions… where his sperm was clearly not seeking an egg…could be termed reckless abandonment".
