Through the “Tijuana: Clean City” program, the administration of Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz continues carrying out efforts to enhance the urban landscape, reaffirming its commitment to restoring public spaces for family recreation and physical activity.
On Tuesday, local deputy Ramón Vázquez and councilmember Ranier Falcón participated in cleanup operations and heavy trash collection along Miguel de la Madrid Street in the Durango neighborhood (La Mesa delegation). A total of 10 tons of garbage was removed, benefiting over 1,800 residents in the area.

Later, at José G. Sánchez Elementary School, located on José López Portillo Street in the Nueva Tijuana neighborhood (Otay Centenario delegation), crews leveled 3,500 square meters of the school’s sports field.
Additionally, 5 tons of sediment were cleared, streetlights were repaired, and 60 linear meters of road signs were repainted, benefiting over 800 citizens, including students, teachers, and nearby residents.

Finally, at the Reforma II Sports Complex on Rancho Alegre Street (Sánchez Taboada delegation), workers conducted green space cleanup and pruning, repairs to 27 streetlights, collection of 3 tons of trash, and 300 linear meters of road and sidewalk striping. All of these efforts benefit over 5,000 people.
Supervising today’s operations were Adriana Barrera Hernández, Acting Head of Delegation Coordination, Bianka Najar Soto, La Mesa delegation representative, Claudia Casas Valdés, Otay Centenario delegation representative, and Teresa García Bañuelos, Sánchez Taboada delegation representative.
