The conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran continues to escalate, raising new tensions on the international stage. The fighting has triggered reactions from several countries and increased concerns about a possible expansion of the conflict in the region, with fears that more nations could become directly involved.
In that context, some reports suggest Iran may not be facing the confrontation alone. U.S. media outlets, including The Washington Post, have reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin could be indirectly involved in the situation.
According to those reports, Russia may have provided Iran with intelligence on the location of U.S. military assets, including warships and aircraft.

Three officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter said the information may have helped improve the accuracy of some Iranian attacks.
Dara Massicot, an expert on the Russian military at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said Iran has been striking early-warning radar systems and over-the-horizon radar installations with notable precision.
“They’re doing it in a very targeted way. They’re going after command and control,” Massicot said, a pattern that has raised additional questions about possible external support.
So far, Russia has not directly addressed the accusations. Instead, officials have told media outlets that Iran is fighting the war on its own and that Moscow does not plan to become involved.
