The government of Tijuana, led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño, has announced a series of road closures for Friday, July 11, as part of a security and traffic operation for the city’s 136th anniversary celebrations, which will feature a performance by Salvador Lizárraga’s La Original Banda El Limón.

Preparations began early Thursday, July 10, with the local Department of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPCM) partially closing one lane near the Miguel Hidalgo Roundabout to allow for stage setup.

These closures are necessary to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely.

City Hall is asking residents to plan ahead and use alternate routes to help minimize delays and congestion in the affected areas during the closure.

Road Closures Aim to Ensure Safety During Tijuana’s 136th Anniversary Celebration

Once the festivities conclude, authorities will begin dismantling the infrastructure to reopen roads as soon as possible and restore normal traffic flow in the area.

SSPCM urges all attendees to follow instructions in case of any incidents. It also reminds the public to respect designated areas and avoid parking in unauthorized locations, and advises attendees to arrive well in advance.

This security and traffic operation primarily aims to ensure the safety and well-being of concertgoers.

The government of Tijuana thanks citizens for their understanding and cooperation and hopes everyone enjoys this significant celebration for the city.
