Rosarito officials have announced long-term road closures in the Crosthwaite neighborhood as crews begin a major hydraulic concrete replacement project. Chihuahua, Tabasco, Rosarito, and San Quintín streets will remain closed through December 31, 2025.
The project will replace deteriorated pavement with hydraulic concrete designed to improve durability and traffic safety. To help manage congestion, the city released recommended detours:
Northbound: 5 de Mayo Street and Benito Juárez Boulevard
Southbound: Guerrero Boulevard, Distrito Federal Street, and Artículo 27 Constitucional Street
Mayor Rocío Adame said the closures are necessary to ensure long-term improvements to local roads.
“We know these works cause inconvenience, but they’re essential to delivering safer, longer-lasting streets,” she said.
The city highlighted recent paving efforts across several neighborhoods:
Circuito Colinas — Col. Ampliación Mazatlán
• Paving on Olivo, Naranjo, and Carlos Lane
• Direct benefit to more than 450 residents
• Addresses a 35-year-old neighborhood request
