Road Resurfacing Project Carried Out in Playas de Tijuana

More than 15 million pesos have been allocated for the resurfacing of Paseo del Pedregal street.

The Tijuana government, under Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, has launched a resurfacing project on Paseo del Pedregal street in Sección Dorado, Playas de Tijuana, with an investment totaling 15,513,000 pesos.

The road rehabilitation work will be carried out by the Department of Territorial, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA) and will take place over the next 120 days, paving 21,270 square meters of road with hot asphalt mix.

Works will begin at Baja California Sur Park and extend to Calle del Rocío, benefiting over 10,700 residents.

Councilwoman Michel García Arceo, accompanied by Playas delegate Alejandro Ibarra Moreno, oversaw the start of the project, and highlighted the importance of repairing one of Playas de Tijuana’s main avenues.

Meanwhile, Ibarra Moreno pointed out that Paseo del Pedregal connects to several educational institutions, including CBTIS 146, a high school serving more than 3,000 students and staff who will benefit from the improvements.

The construction will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with partial road closures expected. Drivers are encouraged to use Paseo Ensenada and Paseo Playas as alternate routes.

Also present at the project launch was Adriana Barrera Hernández, acting head of the Delegation Coordination Office.

The Tijuana City Hall encourages residents to drive cautiously in the area, leave early to avoid delays, and remain patient while work is underway.

With these actions, Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana’s government reaffirms its commitment to improving the city’s urban infrastructure, ensuring functional and dignified streets that enhance the quality of life for all.
