A key road rehabilitation project in the Crosthwaite neighborhood is approximately 75% complete, according to an announcement from the Playas de Rosarito government. The improvements are expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and enhance mobility in the area.
The project, spearheaded by Mayor Rocío Adame, includes the creation of a new traffic connection designed to streamline vehicular flow. In preparation, crews have recently painted the sidewalks along Mexicali Street a bright red. This temporary measure is intended to prevent parking and ensure clear, safe passage for vehicles.

Officials confirmed that the new route will open to traffic this Friday, December 19. Once operational, Mexicali Street will function as a two-way road, providing drivers with an alternate route and improving access to adjacent streets.

Authorities are asking for public cooperation to ensure the project’s success. Specifically, drivers of heavy or oversized vehicles are being asked to avoid using Mexicali Street to prevent potential bottlenecks and congestion.
Authorities stated that this initiative reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to investing in infrastructure that promotes urban order, safety, and an improved quality of life for Rosarito residents.
