Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito proudly celebrated the national swimming team’s impressive achievement of securing second place in the 4×100 freestyle relay at the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay.
Among the standout athletes is Fernanda Elizondo, a skilled swimmer who trains locally with the Rosarito Nadadores club. Alongside teammates Celia Pulido from Guanajuato, and María Fernanda Méndez and Valeria Villarreal from Nuevo León, Fernanda represented Mexico with distinction at this prestigious international event.

Although Fernanda officially competes for the state of Nuevo León, her training and roots in Playas de Rosarito are a source of pride for our community, proving that local talent can shine on international stages.
Mayor Adame’s administration recognizes the dedication, discipline, and hard work of Fernanda and the entire national team, emphasizing that victories like these inspire the youth of Rosarito to chase their dreams with determination.
Congratulations to the Mexican Swimming Team for elevating both Mexico’s and Playas de Rosarito’s name to new heights!
