Mayor Rocío Adame and Playas de Rosarito City Hall have assured residents and tourists that, following pre-vacation season checks by COFEPRIS, the beaches are in optimal condition for a safe and enjoyable summer.

The study, titled “Bacteriological Quality of Seawater 2025,” included water samples taken between June 23 and July 4 at Rosarito I, Rosarito II, Hotel Rivera, and Rosarito III, all of which showed positive results regarding water quality.

The Rosarito City Hall remains vigilant in these monitoring efforts, working in coordination with COFEPRIS and the Federal Maritime-Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT), to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety along Rosarito’s coastline.

ZOFEMAT oversees a 45-kilometer stretch of coastline, carrying out daily inspections to keep beaches free of trash, tires, and sargassum. The agency maintains 19 beaches in the municipality, including Lienzo Charro, Maleconcito, Las Barditas, El Cafecito, El Smart and Final, Pelícanos Norte, Santa Mónica, La Joya, DIF, Bombay, Papas and Beer, Foxis, Surfistas, El Campito, Alisitos, La Misión, and Playa El Bebé.

According to GEN (King Kong Waste Collection), approximately 21.55 tons of solid waste were collected between July 1 and 7, marking the highest weekly volume recorded so far this year.

Mayor Adame’s administration urges all visitors to help preserve the natural environment by disposing of trash properly and following instructions from cleaning staff and lifeguards.
