Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito led a heartfelt celebration at Lienzo Charro as part of the second day of festivities commemorating the 140th anniversary of Rosarito’s founding, marked on May 14. The event was filled with pride, tradition, and a deep sense of community.
Joined by municipal officials, special guests, and hundreds of Rosarito families, the mayor emphasized the importance of preserving and strengthening the cultural roots that shaped the municipality.

“Rosarito is a land of history, culture, and great traditions. Celebrating 140 years of our identity with an event of this magnitude and community spirit fills us all with pride,” said the mayor in her address.
The celebration was marked by joy, vibrant colors, and families getting together. Lienzo Charro became the stage for several cultural, artistic, and traditional activities, where music, art, rodeo, and iconic Mexican expressions came together to honor Rosarito’s history.

One of the most symbolic moments of the day was the traditional horseback parade, which brought together dozens of local and visiting riders. Together, they proudly rode through the municipality’s streets in a tribute to Rosarito’s founding spirit: love for the land, community effort, and respect for heritage.
The mayor thanked everyone who made the celebration possible, emphasizing that Rosarito’s history continues to be written with unity, identity, and tradition.

Through these events, the local government reaffirms its commitment to promoting cultural and community activities that strengthen Rosarito’s sense of identity and belonging.
