The Government of Rosarito has approved a series of key budgetary adjustments and strategic initiatives during a session presided over by Mayor Rocío Adame, reaffirming her administration’s commitment to transparent governance and collaboration with the community.
A central component of the new budget allocates significant resources for the modernization of the city’s water and sewer systems. This effort will expand and upgrade the potable water and sanitary sewer network, with a particular focus on underserved neighborhoods in the southern part of the city.
Beyond water infrastructure, City Hall also endorsed funding to rehabilitate public spaces. Investments include the renovation of offices within the Municipal Palace, aimed at creating a more functional and dignified environment for citizens accessing government services.
Mayor Adame highlighted the role of community partnership in achieving these goals, noting recent efforts to preserve communal spaces through land donations and maintenance agreements with local ejidatarios (communal landowners). These collaborations provide long-term legal security for cherished projects, ensuring that landmarks such as La Casita de Paja remain dedicated community assets for years to come.
The session also addressed broader health initiatives, underscoring the city’s commitment to dignified and timely healthcare services. This includes expanding animal welfare programs, aligned with the National Health Plan, where officials emphasized the importance of citizen participation to maximize community impact.
Through these measures, the administration of Mayor Rocío Adame reaffirms its pledge to manage political, administrative, and governmental affairs in partnership with city councilmembers, prioritizing initiatives that directly enhance the well-being of Rosarito residents.
