The 10th City Hall led by Mayor Rocío Adame has officially joined the National Strategy for Family Strengthening, a program promoted by the National DIF System. The move underscores the municipality’s commitment to fostering peace, well-being, and comprehensive development for local families.
The strategy seeks to improve communication and coexistence among the diverse family structures across Mexico, recognizing that a strong family nucleus is essential for breaking cycles of violence and building a more resilient social fabric.

Aziel E. Adame, president of the Board of Trustees for the DIF Playas de Rosarito System, represented the municipality at the launch event. She reiterated the city’s dedication to advancing programs that promote family unity and community growth. Edgar Manuel Ramírez, acting head of Municipal DIF, also confirmed the agency’s readiness to collaborate closely on behalf of Rosarito residents.
The initiative, championed by President Claudia Sheinbaum, kicked off an event that brought together key state and national leaders, including Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, National DIF head María del Rocío García Pérez, and Mavis Olmeda García, president of the DIF Baja California Board of Trustees. Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) also joined as a strategic partner.
Moving forward, the 10th City Council says it will continue shaping public policies with a family-centered approach, following Mayor Rocío Adame’s directive to govern with a humanist perspective and close community ties; when families are strengthened, the entire municipality grows stronger.
