To promote public health and animal welfare, the government of Playas de Rosarito has introduced a no-cost sterilization campaign, providing 100 procedures per session. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to curb pet abandonment and help prevent disease.
This effort, organized by the local Health Department, seeks to control the overpopulation of dogs and cats, decrease animal abandonment, and prevent zoonotic diseases to benefit both pets and the community.

The campaigns will take place at Jesús Leyva Torres #195, Col. Ampliación Benito Juárez, C.P. 22710, Playas de Rosarito, B.C., from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the following dates:

- Sunday, July 6
- Sunday, August 3
- Sunday, September 7
- Sunday, October 5
- Sunday, November 2
- Sunday, December 7
Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito has reaffirmed her commitment to the well-being of companion animals, emphasizing the importance of public policies that encourage responsible pet ownership and a healthier environment for all.
