Playas de Rosarito kicked off the holiday season with a large-scale celebration that brought lights, music, and festive spirit to the city’s main streets during the 2025 Grand Christmas Parade and the official tree lighting at City Hall.
The events were led by Mayor Rocío Adame, who highlighted the importance of strengthening family bonds and community spirit during the holiday season.
The parade began at 5 p.m. at Plaza San Fernando and traveled along Rosarito’s main boulevards before concluding at City Hall. Hundreds of families lined the route and later gathered for a holiday fair and live performances organized by the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMAC).

Approximately 190 entries took part in this year’s parade, including decorated floats, motorcycles, and themed platforms. Community groups, businesses, and municipal departments participated, showcasing the creativity and enthusiasm of local residents.
In her remarks, Mayor Adame thanked the community for its strong turnout, noting that the holiday season offers an opportunity to reinforce family values, promote unity, and reclaim public spaces as places for community connection. She also encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly and safely.
The evening’s highlight came during the countdown to the lighting of the Christmas tree, as Mayor Adame officially illuminated the tree at City Hall, marking the start of the holiday season in Rosarito.

The celebration continued with holiday music and a festive atmosphere that brought together families of all ages for a night centered on joy, safety, and togetherness.
City officials said events like the parade and tree lighting reflect Rosarito’s commitment to preserving holiday traditions, fostering social connection, and strengthening community pride throughout the season.
