Playas de Rosarito Mayor Rocío Adame led a high-level meeting with Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism to review a portfolio of strategic projects that aim to transform the city’s tourism landscape.
The mayor was joined by Miguel Aguiñiga, head of the Innovation, Sustainability and Professionalization Unit, and Marcela Camacho, Director of Tourism Innovation and Development. Together with local officials, they examined initiatives designed to boost Rosarito’s competitiveness as a destination.
Key projects presented by Rosarito’s Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism, Irán Leonardo Verdugo, include:
- Mobility infrastructure to improve connectivity and accessibility.
- Maritime and land infrastructure to diversify the tourism offering.
- Urban and rural development projects to enhance quality of life in host communities.
- Urban image initiatives to create welcoming, functional, and attractive spaces.
Mayor Adame emphasized that these efforts go beyond tourism promotion.
“We are working to ensure that every project has a real impact on our people. Rosarito has enormous potential, and with the strength of our community, we will build a more competitive, attractive, and fair destination,” she said.
Through this collaboration with Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism, Rosarito reaffirms its commitment to advancing projects that not only elevate its profile as a destination but also generate social and economic benefits for local families.
