Mayor Rocío Adame led the weekly Playas de Rosarito Security Roundtable, a meeting that brings together local, state, and federal law enforcement. The session focused on analyzing results from coordinated operations and reinforcing security strategies while crediting strengthened inter-agency coordination and increased police presence for making streets safer for families.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC), the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the State Investigation Agency (AEI), the C5 Center, as well as federal authorities, who presented the results corresponding to the week of October 30th to November 5th.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported several arrests of individuals linked to various crimes, attributing the success to timely investigative leads. As such, the mayor reiterated the critical role of citizen involvement, urging residents to continue reporting crimes and suspicious activity.
The State Investigation Agency (AEI) reported executing an arrest warrant, recovering a stolen vehicle, and detaining a suspect for marijuana possession in Plan Libertador neighborhood. The agency also responded to multiple reports of gunfire in several areas.
The C5 Center reported 23 criminal incidents, a significant decrease from the 33 reported the previous week. Officials highlighted a marked reduction in non-violent home burglaries and vehicle thefts.
The Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) reported 10 individuals were handed over to prosecutors, alongside the seizure of a handgun and the recovery of vehicles used in criminal acts.

The security strategy also emphasized visible, preventive patrols. For the Day of the Dead holiday on November 1 and 2, police were deployed to municipal cemeteries, commercial plazas, and main boulevards. Patrols were also reinforced at banks, ATMs, and the city’s 13 pedestrian bridges. A particular focus was placed on school zones, with operations strengthened at crosswalks to foster a sense of safety for students and parents.
“In Rosarito, we are showing that when authorities and the community work together, the results are reflected in safer streets and a more peaceful city for families. We will not let our guard down,” she stated.
With these actions, the 10th City Hall of Playas de Rosarito reaffirms its commitment to the safety, peace, and well-being of all Rosarito natives.
