Rosarito continues to strengthen its position as a strategic destination for investment and tourism. On Wednesday, the city hosted a presentation for travel agencies and specialized tourism media. The goal was to showcase Rosarito’s full potential, both as an investment hub and a destination for commercial opportunities.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Baja California Tourism Department and Mexico’s Tourism Ministry, making use of platforms such as Punto México, which promotes the cultural and tourism wealth of Mexico’s states and cities. Through the Playas de Rosarito Tourism and Conventions Committee (COTUCO), efforts are underway to expand strategies that help strengthen the city’s presence in the national and international tourism market.
The gathering brought together prominent figures from the public and private sectors. Speakers included Paul Corona, president of COTUCO Rosarito; Iran Verdugo, Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism of Rosarito; Erika Marcela Picazo of AMPI Rosarito; and Octavio Morales of Puerto Nuevo Gallery. They shared key insights on beachfront real estate investment, Rosarito’s cultural and artisanal richness, and strategies for effectively promoting the destination.
To close on a high note, chefs Aldo Occio and Armando Patatuchi offered a tasting of local cuisine, highlighting flavors that form an essential part of Rosarito’s identity.
Also present were Saul Álvarez and Horacio Bayardo from COTUCO Rosarito, who engaged directly with the media in attendance. Additional perspectives came from Karla Ruelas of the Rosarito Hotel and Motel Association and Gloria Montes, a representative of the Kumiai community, who offered valuable insights to showcase a more complete vision of the destination.
The event underscored Rosarito’s determination to continue growing as an attractive destination for both tourism and investment.
