To help ensure the safety and well-being of both residents and visitors during the holiday season, the Playas de Rosarito government, led by Mayor Rocío Adame, is sharing key safety recommendations through the Department of Public Safety and the Office of Civil Protection and Fire Services.
Under the slogan “Your well-being comes first,” the local government encourages everyone to act responsibly before and during travel, especially when visiting beaches and recreational areas throughout the municipality.
If you are traveling by car, be sure to check your brakes, lights, and tires before heading out. Always wear your seatbelt, secure children in appropriate car seats, follow speed limits, and avoid driving while intoxicated or fatigued.
Within city limits, drivers are reminded to stop at crosswalks, reduce speed in busy areas, give the right of way to pedestrians and cyclists, avoid blocking ramps or access points, and always follow posted traffic signs.
When visiting the beach, the city of Rosarito urges you to keep a close eye on children, locate lifeguard and emergency stations, avoid entering the ocean if you have consumed alcohol, wear sunscreen, and stay hydrated.
Visitors can also request help at any time from members of the Tourist Police, who are stationed throughout the city’s busiest recreational zones. They are ready to provide guidance, assistance, and immediate response to any incidents. Their presence ensures a safe, welcoming, and reliable environment for all who choose to spend their holidays in Rosarito.
