Rosarito Mayor Rocío Adame has mobilized city crews to tackle storm-related risks as rainy weather moves through the region.
The city’s Urban Services Department has fanned out across Playas de Rosarito to clear debris and trash from storm drains and natural waterways, aiming to reduce the risk of flooding during heavy downpours. Officials say clogged drains are a common cause of street flooding when rain intensifies.
Crews are also monitoring streams and other flood-prone areas to respond quickly if conditions worsen.

At the same time, emergency pothole repairs are underway along Benito Juárez Boulevard, one of the city’s busiest roads. Workers are using 25-kilogram sacks of cold asphalt to temporarily patch damaged sections of pavement and improve driving conditions.
City officials said the patches are meant to address immediate safety concerns and will remain in place until crews can complete more permanent repairs once the weather clears.

Beyond cleanup and road work, the city is urging residents to avoid littering and to slow down in areas where work crews are present.
Through the combined cleanup, monitoring and repair efforts, local officials say they hope to keep Rosarito safer and more manageable during the rainy season.
