Asada Quesataco
This taco has grilled meat (carne asada), cheese, onion, coriander, huevona sauce (tomato, onion, and peppers blended raw), and watery guacamole, which had a small piece of skin that he removed. Each of the ingredients is served with a handmade corn tortilla and though its size was average, generally speaking the taco had quite a lot of meat and other ingredients.
The tortilla had a good thickness and the meat was quite damp and had a good taste. The onion, coriander, and the sauce had their normal flavor which helped to highlight the asada’s flavor. Though Chef Danny ended up finding a piece of avocado skin, the guacamole was watery. What really saved this taco was both the tortilla and its Chihuahua style cheese which is why this taco gets a rating of 7.6.
Price: $1.75 dollars ($35 pesos)

Adobada Taco
This taco has adobada meat cut in cubes, onion, coriander, watery guacamole, all served in a handmade corn tortilla. When it comes to taquerias, it is often said that if the adobada meat has no color, it has no flavor. Just like the previous taco, the tortilla was exquisite and was very well hydrated.
The watery guacamole did not add anything to the taste and the sauce had a nice spiciness level; one can really feel the bird beak’s chile flavors. Another thing to note is that the meat was missing that “punch”, the adobada flavor was not really a Baja Californian adobada flavor. It resembled more an al pastor taco from central Mexico, being lighter and with a sweet pineapple taste. This taco gets a rating of 6.3.
Price: $1.5 dollars ($30 pesos)
