Rosarito to Offer Free Driving Course for Youth

Mayor María del Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito has directed the local Department of Citizen Security to launch a series of preventive programs focused on local youth, including the “Prevention Behind the Wheel” workshop for individuals aged 16 to 30.

This free course is designed to reduce traffic accidents and promote responsible driving. Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to help them prepare for the driver’s license exam, reinforcing the city’s commitment to youth education and road safety.

The workshop will cover a range of essential topics, including road and traffic education, safety strategies, traffic signs and symbols, basic car mechanics, and how to detect vehicle malfunctions. This comprehensive training aims to instill responsible driving habits early on.

Mayor Rocío Adame emphasized that her administration is committed to a preventive approach, tackling the root causes of traffic accidents. The workshop is open through August 18, and those interested can call 664 752 2640 for more information.
