The Playas de Rosarito City Hall has unanimously approved Mayor Rocío Adame’s 2026 Public Works Program for the 2026 Fiscal Year, alongside several financial and coordination agreements designed to bolster municipal infrastructure and operational capacity.
The program targets strategic upgrades throughout Playas de Rosarito, with a focus on roads, security, urban infrastructure, and public spaces. Major paving and reconstruction projects are slated for neighborhoods including Plan Libertador, Lomas de Coronado, Lomas de Rosarito, and Primo Tapia as well as works on stormwater systems, sports facilities, and public buildings.
One urgent priority is the rehabilitation of Heinse Boulevard, where a significant sinkhole has been identified. The project aims to mitigate public risk, prevent further road damage, and ensure safe passage through the area.
During the council session, officials highlighted that communities such as Primo Tapia will see substantial benefits, with projects addressing historical deficiencies in roads and services to improve residents’ quality of life.
The council also greenlit a coordination agreement with the Urban Development Promoter of Playas de Rosarito to channel resources from the 2026 Normal Public Works Program (PRON). An additional financial support agreement was approved to strengthen the city’s operational capabilities.
In remarks following the vote, Mayor Rocío Adame underscored the program’s role in the city’s long-term development.
“These projects are fundamental to the continued transformation of Playas de Rosarito. We are prioritizing initiatives that directly impact family well-being, safety, and mobility, always with a responsible, forward-looking vision,” the mayor said.
The mayor emphasized that the initiatives reflect her administration’s commitment to responsive, citizen-focused governance. She also acknowledged the crucial role of taxpayers, noting that property tax revenue is essential to funding the projects that improve community infrastructure and services that benefit every family in Playas de Rosarito.
