The ¡Rosarito a Color! (Rosarito in Color!) initiative is moving forward as a community art project aimed at improving public spaces throughout the city. Using urban murals and hands-on community involvement, the campaign focuses on refreshing key areas while building neighborhood pride.

The project is supported by DIF Playas de Rosarito and the local government, with the goal of strengthening community connections, highlighting local identity, and making public spaces more welcoming.

Paint company Comex is contributing materials and technical support for the murals, helping bring the artwork to life across different parts of the city.

Local muralist Enrique Chiu is overseeing the artistic work, coordinating volunteers and guiding the creative process during each mural installation.

City youth, social services, and public works teams have helped organize the effort, while children, teens, and families have taken part in painting the murals, turning each project into a neighborhood event.

The campaign includes plans to paint 11 heavily traveled bridges used daily by thousands of residents. Organizers say the goal is not only to improve the city’s appearance but also to encourage a stronger sense of ownership and pride in public spaces.

Additional murals are planned in the coming months as Rosarito a Color! continues to expand, bringing color and community involvement to more areas of the city.
