ROSARITO.- A great, family-friendly activity this coming weekend is the Rosarito Baja Sand event. The free event will be hosted on August 31st, starting at 9am in Rosarito, right next to the pier.

The event will include participation by Calixto Molina, a well-known sculptor. Molina, who is known for making art out of sand and water, is a renowned sculptor from Acapulco, who has been working on the craft of sand sculpting for the past 15 years. His work mainly depicts Mexican mythology and prehispanic themes, although his creativity has no boundaries.

In addition to sand castles, attendees can play football on the beach or participate in a bike ride. Readers are also invited to participate in the drawing contest or enjoy the musical acts that will be playing at the event.

The Rosarito Baja Sand event is a great reason to get outdoors, recharge, and take part in yet another event organized by the municipality to incentivize tourism.
