On December 13th,2013, the oath ceremony by the new NLBWA (National Board of Latina Women Entrepreneurs of San Diego), as well as the delivery of the "Emerging America Program awards" by the same organization in recognition of the most outstanding members of the year was held at their administrative building in San Diego.



Since 1998, NLBWA has been a successful organization that has promoted and supported the growth of Latino businesses and created networking opportunities in the San Diego community, its mission is to represent the city and encourage business development.



The ceremony began with a toast by the master of ceremony, Tatiana Martinez, director of Tijuana´s Cultural Center, she toasted to 2014 being be a year of great achievement for San Diego's Latino women entrepreneur community and for all business and franchises that are still to come.



The event was attended by state and city Congress members, including the acting mayor Todd Gloria, who led the ceremony and appointed the new national board of the organization.



NLBWA's new board consists of men and women who have been recognized for their work through the entire year. These are: Remy Mimms, president, Minnie Rzeslawski , treasurer , Diana Jurado Sainz , secretary, Denise Garcia, member of the Legislative Council. Chad Prichett , Susana Serrano, Vigi Austin and Veronica Edwards, were appointed as managers.

Remy Mimms, president-elect of the organization, spoke in recognition of the work carried out by the old board, from which she received unconditional support during her career. The new president-elect also recognized the work of the previous president, Linda Sotelo, as well as the work done by the official U.S. Treasurer Anna Escobedo Cabral, key speaker of the event and member who has shown the success of this organization on a global scale.



Finally, Mimms welcomed the new board thanking it for its support and commitment to the organization and community of San Diego.
