The Force will be strong with San Diego audiences this spring as the San Diego Symphony Orchestra presents “Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert,” bringing John Williams’ score to life while the beloved film plays on a giant screen.
The immersive experience, scheduled for May 1 and May 3 at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, will transport viewers to a galaxy far, far away through the power of live music.
Under the direction of conductor Scott Terrell, the symphony will perform the complete soundtrack in synchronization with the 1977 film that launched one of cinema’s most celebrated sagas.

From the thunderous Imperial March to Princess Leia’s ethereal theme, every note will accompany the on-screen action, allowing audiences to experience Luke Skywalker’s journey with renewed intensity. The event holds official licensing from Disney Concerts.
