Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito led this week’s session of the Construction of Peace Roundtable, bringing together federal, state, and local authorities to assess recent security operations and outline ongoing strategies for the region.
The meeting highlighted the strengthened collaboration between the three levels of government, with a particular focus on visible prevention efforts. The Secretariat of the Navy and the National Guard have maintained a steady presence through routine patrols, while also participating in coordinated search warrants and tactical operations alongside municipal forces.
Meanwhile, the State Attorney General’s Office detailed recent arrests linked to violent robbery, residential burglary, and other aggravated offenses. One notable detention resulted from a joint effort between specialized units, underscoring the effectiveness of inter-agency coordination.
In addition, the State Investigation Agency reported the successful execution of three search warrants and the service of an arrest warrant, in addition to ongoing progress in vehicle recovery operations.
Data from the C5 security command center showed a measurable decline in reports of private vehicle theft during the week of February 19 to 25. Authorities credited the reduction to coordinated patrols and rapid-response efforts involving municipal, state, and federal corporations.

The Municipal Secretariat of Public Security also reported a series of preventive actions, including the referral of individuals to the prosecutor’s office on charges ranging from drug dealing and assault to trespassing and domestic violence. Officers also confiscated prohibited weapons and impounded vehicles linked to criminal activity.

Authorities also conducted six large-scale coordinated operations involving the Secretariat of National Defense, the National Guard, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the State Investigation Agency, the Navy, and State Forces.
In total, more than 4,400 preventive patrols were carried out at designated points throughout the city, including residential areas, commercial zones, the coastal strip, banks, ATMs, municipal cemeteries, and 13 pedestrian bridges.
Additional patrols targeted the border with Tijuana along Bulevar 2000, while officers also participated in 769 school crossings and 704 patrols to reinforce community engagement.

As part of broader prevention efforts, the “No caigas en las redes” awareness campaign was launched at COBACH Rosarito, reaching 800 adolescents with messaging aimed at online safety.

According to the daily reports, Playas de Rosarito has not experienced an increase in homicides compared to other high-priority municipalities across the country. Officials say this stability reflects the success of sustained coordination, though they emphasized that operations will not be scaled back.
“Permanent coordination between the three levels of government is essential to continue delivering results. We will maintain our territorial presence and joint efforts to ensure peace of mind for Rosarito families,” Mayor Rocío Adame said.
The 10th City Hall of Playas de Rosarito reaffirmed its commitment to advancing prevention strategies and operational readiness as part of its broader mission to strengthen security and civic peace throughout the municipality.
