"Shinjoku Riot" is a band from Tijuana that describes itself as Positive Pop Punk due to the message they convey in their lyrics. Their objective is to create social conscience through their music and give youth hope as well as everyone who listens to their melodies and encouraging lyrics.
While "Shinjoku Riot" has only been in the border music scene for a short while, they have consolidated themselves as one of the new promising bands of Tijuana Rock music. This past Monday they premiered their first music video with their single "Shine a Light" from the record with the same title which was recorded in HexRex Studio from Rosarito, Baja California.
