Thanks to the efforts of Mayor Rocío Adame and the Municipal Sports Institute (IMDER), led by Xavier Carrasco Beltrán, the 2025 Powerade International Half Marathon brought together 2,500 runners and more than 4,000 attendees this Sunday, June 22, along the main roads of Playas de Rosarito. The event promoted athletic participation and family engagement while also delivering a boost to the local economy.

According to the local Department of Economic Development and Tourism, the influx of national and international visitors led to an outstanding hotel occupancy rate of 97% on Saturday, with an average weekend occupancy of 85%.

The marathon attracted participants from Southern California, Arizona, various Mexican cities, and Cuba, solidifying the 2025 Powerade Half Marathon as an international gathering for athletes and visitors alike.
Runners enjoyed Rosarito’s iconic coastline along a scenic route showcasing the best of the destination from urban areas to ocean views. Beyond promoting sports, the event boosted the hospitality, gastronomy, retail, and transportation industries.

The Playas de Rosarito government reaffirmed its commitment to hosting events that enhance the city’s national and international profile, boost the local economy, and promote a culture of health, activity, and community pride.
