Spring has arrived early in San Diego’s mountain country as the popular Daffodil Days return to Julian this weekend, offering visitors a chance to wander through blooming fields and cut their own flowers in a picturesque rural setting.
The pop-up event runs Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., inviting families and flower enthusiasts to experience one of the region’s most anticipated seasonal celebrations at a local farm in this historic town.
For a $5 general admission fee, guests can explore the farm grounds, participate in garden games, and visit a small animal sanctuary that adds to the family-friendly atmosphere.

The highlight of the weekend remains the u-pick experience, allowing visitors to venture directly into the fields and hand-select their own daffodils. Fresh-cut stems are available for $2 each or $20 per dozen.

Because the season is just getting underway, farm officials note that not all daffodils have fully blossomed yet, meaning flower availability will be somewhat limited during this first weekend.
