They had already been suspended in the State of Mexico, but they have just announced it for Baja California as well

Today, through the Mexican Government's official website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that the granting of passports in Baja California and the State of Mexico is temporarily suspended.

The suspension of service will be from December 26 to January 10, 2021. This is to protect the wellbeing of users and public servants. However, this e-mail is available: supervisiondgd@sre.gob.mx, for accredited emergency attention for health, academic, work or family reunification reasons.

"Depending on the risk traffic light issued by the federal or state Health Secretariat, service may be restarted or suspended in the delegations," the institution declared in the statement.

Likewise, it was shared that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regrets the inconvenience caused to users by the suspension of this service. However, it reiterated its willingness to comply with the regulations issued by the health authorities.
