The Playa Hermosa district will set the stage for the Ensenada Grand Carnival 2026: “Music and Joy.” Scheduled to run from March 12th through March 17th, organizers anticipate the six-day extravaganza will draw an estimated 400,000 visitors to one of the region’s most cherished annual festivities.
The 2026 edition will feature a powerhouse musical lineup on the main stage, including Yuridia, Banda MS, Alicia Villarreal, Paty Cantú, and the high-energy production of La Parranda Tour.
In a special showcase of regional Mexican heritage, Monday night will unite three legendary acts on a single bill: Miguel y Miguel, Lorenzo de Monteclaro, and Raúl Hernández, former member of Los Tigres del Norte.
The festivities will officially begin on Thursday, March 12th, with the symbolic Burning of Bad Mood at 9:00 p.m. on the main stage, followed by a performance from La Parranda Tour at 11:00 p.m.
Friday evening will be marked by the elegant coronation of the Royal Court at 9:00 p.m., paving the way for a late-night concert by Alicia Villarreal at 11:00 p.m.
Saturday’s celebrations will spill onto the boulevard as the vibrant parade of floats rolls along Boulevard Costero. The procession will kick off at 7:00 p.m., traveling from Plinta Street to Macheros Avenue. Later that night, Paty Cantú will take the main stage at 11:00 p.m.
The floats will roll again on Sunday at the same time, this time reversing the route from Macheros Street to Plinta Street. Following the parade, the main stage will belong to Banda MS, who are scheduled to perform at 11:00 p.m.
Monday’s musical spotlight shifts to the regional greats, with performances by Miguel y Miguel, Lorenzo de Monteclaro, and Raúl Hernández.
The grand finale on Tuesday, March 17th, will feature an earlier parade designed for maximum family enjoyment, stepping off at 6:00 p.m. from Plinta Street to Macheros Street. The carnival will then draw to a close as Yuridia takes the stage to cap off the six-day celebration with a flourish.
