As part of the preventive measures promoted by the Baja California Secretary of Health in the face of COVID-19, the neighborhoods that have a concentration of active cases in the different municipalities, health authorities prohibit the installation of swap meet markets since they are spaces where there are transmission chains.
According to the report presented this Tuesday by the head of this secretariat, Alonso Pérez Rico, in the case of Tijuana there are five colonies where an accumulation of these cases is observed, so these markets should not be placed here.
- Villa Real: 8 active cases
- Real de San Francisco: 7 active cases
- Villa Fontana: 6 active cases
- Villa Residencial del Bosque: 5 active cases
Of the remaining municipalities, the neighborhoods with the most active cases are the following: Guajardo in Tecate (4 active cases), Constitución/Ampliación Constitución in Rosarito (4), Héroe de Nacozari in Mexicali (7), Guadalupe Victoria in Mexicali Valley (10), Tercera Sección/Los Gavilanes in San Felipe (4); as well as the Chapultepec (6) and Valle Dorado colonies in Ensenada (6) and the Ejido Nuevo Mexicali neighborhood in San Quintín (5).
