Mayor Román Cota Muñoz will present his administration’s First-Year Progress Report this Saturday at Miguel Hidalgo Park, outlining key accomplishments and future plans for Tecate.
The mayor announced the event through social media, emphasizing his commitment to transparency and citizen engagement, and assuring he will both provide a full accounting of the work and share a vision for building a better Tecate.
The administration’s inaugural year saw substantial investments across multiple sectors, including public safety, infrastructure, and social programs. Notable achievements include:
- Equipment upgrade: A 20-million-peso investment in new vehicles and specialized equipment for the Tecate Fire Department, alongside the construction of a new fire station in Paso del Águila
- Roads: Resurfacing of over 70,000 square meters of roads to enhance mobility
- Social support programs: Continued operation of “Construyendo x Tecate,” providing construction materials to residents for home improvements
- Digital innovation: Establishment of a digital agency in Tecate to streamline government services and procedures
- Enhanced communication: Creation of “TKTIENDE,” a direct communication channel that has successfully addressed over 700 citizen reports
The First-Year Progress Report will take place on Saturday, September 27th at 6:00 p.m. in Miguel Hidalgo Park. Mayor Cota is encouraging all residents to attend and participate in the discussion about Tecate’s future.
