The elected Governor of Baja California, Lic. Francisco "Kiko" Vega de Lamadrid, held work meetings this Tuesday with Congressmen of different political parties, whom he asked for support when promoting strategic projects that will help the state of Baja California.

As part of the work agenda he developed, the elected governor, who will take office starting November 1st, highlighted the management of resources when it comes to infrastructure, sports, education and culture before the Federal Congressmen, who he invited to work in a conjoined effort to achieve greater benefits for the State.

He states a Vote against the VAT in the Border

When he had the opportunity, the Elected Governor stated before the congressmen of the political parties PAN, PRI, PRD, PVEM and PT, the importance of voting against this VAT ( value added tax) in the border states, which seeks to standardize it with the rest of the country (16% up from 11%) establishing the highly negative effects and social issues that, according to several experts and studies, this would bring about.

He conversed with Congressmen of the different political parties

Fransico "Kiko" Vega met with the Congressmen of different political parties during his work tour through the City of Mexico, among them, Maria Carmen Lopez Segura, Coordinator of PRI's Congressmen for Baja California; he also met with Congressmen of Baja California, Andres de la Rosa Anaya and Juan Manuel Gastelum Buenrostro. He also had meetings with the coordinators of the parties, PRD, PVEM and PAN, Silvano Aureoles, Arturo Escobar and Luis Alberto Villarreal, respectively.

He also spoke with congressman Jaime Bonilla Valdez, President of the Comission of Nothern Border Affairs and with Congressman Sergio Manzu, President of the Budget committee. Among the agreements made as a result of these reunions is the future meeting of the elected Governor with all the congressmen of Baja California in order to follow up with these subjects as well as other matters of great importance for the state.
