Before the wave of Covid-19 infections, Baja Californians must finish the whole immunization program to prevent the disease from deteriorating and causing more conditions, as the state reported an increase in active cases of 3,106.
According to the Ministry of Health, the municipalities of Mexicali and Tijuana have the highest concentration of current cases; therefore, health officials advise people to follow sanitary precautions to avoid further virus infections.
Dr. Medina Amarillas, the agency's director, underlined the necessity of adhering to immunization schedules, noting that at least 93 percent of covid patients who require a ventilator were not vaccinated.
"We have a situation where 93% of covid patients who require a ventilator do not have any immunization."
