Closer to the premiere of the film "The Raven" which is centered in a series of murders inspired by the stories of the great Edgar Allan Poe, San Diego Red talked with Lucas Vidal, the great mind behind the film's music.

Lucas Vidal is a Young promise in music from Spain and with only 28 years he has lived great experiences in Hollywood.

On the chat, Lucas expressed the great challenge of communicating the mental chaos of Edgar Allan Poe and the experience of reading the writer's work as part of his research, also the interpretation made by John Cusack of Poe in the film.

Something that he emphasized was the request of the director James McTeigue : creating a mix of the 19th century and contemporary music. Vidal used distortions and electric guitars.

The musical adventure commanded by Lucas Vidal was made by a team of more than one hundred people; only the orchestra was made of 85 members.

When be asked Lucas about his musical influences and personal taste, he mentioned traditional a new composers as John Williams, Alberto Iglesias, Ennio Morricone, Alexandre Desplat and Hans Zimmer.

In the future we will be listening to the compositions of Lucas Vidal in the films "The Cold Light of Day" and "Amiche de morire".

On innumerable occasions in the music of a film, there is one song that stays on the mind of the people. When we asked Lucas about a special theme in this movie he mentioned "The raven" because it had the essence of the whole film.

"The Raven" a movie that features John Cusack, Alice Eve and Luke Evans premieres this weekend.
