When you are in the presence of these figures and you read the texts which tell of their work and their deeds, it helps us know a little more about the History of Mexico, with visual aids like paintings and scenery which represent each time period as well as the astounding realism of the heroes themselves, it is a sight to behold, and not just history, but also famous artists from the past as well as more contemporary figures are on display as well.

There are only 3 wax museums in all of Mexico, one in the capital, another in Guadalajara and the third one is our very own, right here in Tijuana. Our Wax Museum is considered the second of it's kind in all of Latin America.
It counts with 10 halls distributed in 4 themed areas: Pre-Hispanic Mexico, Missionary period of Baja California and History of Tijuana, Legends and Stories and Heroes of Mexico. In them you can see replicas of historical figures like Hidalgo, Moctezuma, Zapata, J.F. Kennedy, Gandhi or John Paul II. As well as show business idols like Cantinflas, Marilyn Monroe, Pedro Infante, Elvis Presley etc. Finally, with the cliche of a "What could go wrong?" scenario, there is the horror section in a poorly lit dungeon where you can find classic horror characters like Dracula, Freddy Kruger and the Werewolf.
Tijuana has a lot to offer when it comes to family fun, and the "Tijuana Wax Museum" is conveniently located in the Downtown Area minutes away from the border. You can check for directions here, and the admission fee is only $1.75 dollars or $20 Pesos.
