There's only one thing you need to take good care of your pets, and that's lots of love, including of course, a healthy diet for their tiny or big bodies, whichever the case. But as it usually happens we adore them so much that we decide to "treat them" with human food. And although that's not such a crazy idea, there are certain foods we shouldn't be feeding them (and is not only chocolate).

Check this list of 10 foods your pets should not consume, because you never know at what level they might be affected.

1.- Chocolate

Number one dangerous food, it has LOTS OF SUGAR, a thing called theobromine we know not that much about it (but we know it's bad for your pet) and caffeine… so it's a NO. These ingredients can cause vomit, pain, dehydration and more awful symptoms in your beloved dog.

2.- Milk

Yes, they drink it when they're puppies, but that doesn't mean they have to keep doing it, because lots of dogs are lactose intolerant. Milk has simple sugars, but dogs don't have the enzymes to digest it. Vomit and diarrhea are some of the risks.

3.- Onion

We know onion goes well with some of your favorite dishes (onion rings, duh), but this vegetable not only can make your dog cry, but it can also damage its red blood cells, which will make your fluffy friend weaker and slow to its surroundings.

4.- Garlic

[/p]

Can you smell that garlic bread?… NO, you can't, cause is BAD for your best friend (kidding, enjoy that bread, but don't share). Raw garlic has a lot of toxic chemicals for canines, which will make your dog tired and affect its urine in color, turning it orange or red.

5.- Grapes

Grapes can be extremely toxic for dogs and we're not exactly sure why, but there has been many fatal cases due to the ingestion of the fruit by canines. The consequences are impaired renal failure, vomit, diarrhea and lack of appetite. Worst case scenario, the dog can die in three or four days.

6.- Avocado

We know you love it, and if you hate it then we don't know why :(. Anyway, this fruit has a very toxic fungicide that could affect the animal negatively, causing difficulties to breathe, fluid accumulation and troubles to swallow.

7.- Apple core

The cores of apple, peaches, pears and vulgar, can contain cyanogenic glucosides; your pet may experience dizziness, epileptic attacks and hyperventilation; it can also induce a comma.

8.- Dough

If you feed your friend some bread is more than fine, but never feed it with raw dough, because it can ferment inside and cause alcohol intoxication. Let's not forget that it creates a lot of gases.

9.- Caffeine

Just because you need coffee to survive, doesn't mean your dog will need it too. Caffeine affects the nervous system and can cause vomit, tachycardia and anxiety.

10.- Bacon

Bacon is delicious and certainly makes your day greater, but it could be lethal for your doggie's pancreas.
