The picture of a tropical cyclone's eye can be impressive and even more if taken from space, but this one in particular is not from Hurricane Patricia but of Typhoon Maysak in the Philippines back in April, 2015.

A simple Google search shows the true origin of the image.

Neither are the following pictures of Patricia:

This is actually Maysak:

Even though these pictures, already shared by thousands on Twitter and other social platforms, were also taken by NASA and the International Space Station (ISS) and quite remarkably if I do say so, they aren't of Hurricane Patricia but of Typhoon Maysak. Maysak also got to be a Category 5 tropical cyclone at one period of its life and was also one of the strongest ones in recent years; however, it lost its power right before making landfall in the Philippines.

PRI's current president, Manilo Fabio Beltrones, was also a victim of Twitter's low standards, sharing it as an "impressive" picture of Patricia:

What else ISN'T Hurricane Patricia? This image, which was actually a waterspout in Tampa Bay back in 2014:

The following images are of Patricia, taken by NASA's Scott Kelly from the ISS:
