They prohibit the commercialization of: Philadelphia, Lala, Fud and other brands of cheese

On October 13, 2020, the Department of Economy together with the Federal Consumer's Office (PROFECO) verified that several products such as "cheese" and "natural yogurt" for not complying with the established, according to the Mexican Official Standards. And, because the information of the products can induce consumers´deception.

Their marketing was immediately prohibited.

In total, there were more than 20 products of 19 brands, two of them called "natural yogurt".


According to this, violators will be fined according to the Quality Infrastructure Law.

What specifically was taken into account to ban these foods?
