In 2017 a study was carried out with the hospitals of the University of Geneva, where the retirement home 'Les Tilleuls', has prescribed twelve of its residents with therapeutic cannabis containing less than 1% of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
This has provided a great result, showing a great improvement in the health of the patients, some of whom had tried other therapeutic techniques to relieve their discomforts, but to no avail.
According to the director of the retirement home, James Wampfler, the treatments include only a few drops of CBD oil that help to relieve their symptoms. This showed a greater decrease in muscle pain and anxiety amongst the patients.
It’s been proved that therapeutic cannabis in Le Matin Dimanche is more effective and has fewer side effects than traditional muscle relaxants, says James Wampfler
