With a festive and family-friendly atmosphere, over 20,000 people gathered this Saturday at the Mariano Matamoros Sports Complex to participate in the “In Baja, The Transformation Lives” event. Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda headed the event, which brought together citizens from different municipalities and sectors, all demonstrating their support for the progress achieved under her leadership. Music, color, and community participation marked the occasion, reaffirming public backing for Baja California’s transformation project.
Shortly after five in the afternoon, entire families began arriving to enjoy a day of fun—centered on sharing, connecting, and celebrating the visible improvements in their communities. Children ran across the field, young people danced, and elders chatted: a community taking a moment to come together in celebration.
Upon her arrival at the sports complex, the governor was greeted with chants of “Marina del Pilar!” and “You are not alone!”, a display of affection and recognition for her closeness to the people. It was a reflection of the optimism many feel about the state’s current direction.

“Thank you for your love, thank you for your support, thank you for being here, thank you for making this transformation possible—for daring to dream of a Baja California with well-being. Thank you because, together, we will keep building a better state to live in,” the governor said.
Before concluding her speech, she thanked the public’s support and affection, vowing never to abandon the people of Baja California. “You are my strength. I am not alone. We will keep moving forward with dignity and love for the people of Baja California—with our ‘Heart Forward,'” she stated.
Amid signs reading “Mexicali supports you,” “Marina del Pilar represents me,” and “BC is happy with so much support,” the crowd celebrated with applause, banda music, and dancing, energizing the entire sports complex.
