Tijuana’s streets will roar to life on December 14 as thousands of motorcyclists prepare to take part in the 40th edition of the Tijuana Toy Run, one of the border region’s most enduring holiday traditions.

Organized by the Solo Ángeles motorcycle club, the annual ride has grown into a massive “Caravan of Happiness,” drawing riders from around the world as they parade through the city to deliver new toys to local children. The procession will end at Avenida Revolución and Calle 7, where the gifts will be distributed.

“This event showcases Tijuana’s solidarity to the world,” said Karim Chalita Rodríguez, president of the Tijuana Tourism and Convention Committee (Cotuco). “Thousands unite to bring joy to local families while giving a boost to the city’s economy. It’s an altruistic tradition that has become an engine for community and tourism.”

The Toy Run began in 1985 with just 30 riders delivering gifts to a single orphanage. Today, it has evolved into an international draw. Eric Morales “El Terrible,” vice president of Solo Ángeles, highlighted the event’s global reach.

“We welcome riders from Argentina, Chile, Germany, England, the United States, and many more,” Morales said. “This caravan reflects the border spirit — hardworking, generous, and big-hearted. This year, we expect nearly 20,000 participants and spectators.”hanage has grown into an international phenomenon. Eric Morales “El Terrible,” Vice President of Solo Ángeles, notes the event’s expansive reach.
