Tijuana Backs Career Growth Through New Academic Alliance

Mayor Ismael Burgueño formalized a new educational alliance that will benefit both city workers and young people pursuing professional growth.

Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz led the signing of a partnership agreement between the government of Tijuana and Centro Educativo California, designed to enhance professional training for students while advancing academic and career development opportunities for city workers and their families. This collaboration reflects the administration’s commitment to fostering a humanistic government.

During the signing ceremony, Mayor Burgueño stated:

“We are committed to creating lasting conditions that support the development of students and educational institutions in our city.”

The agreement establishes a strategic alliance that will allow Centro Educativo California students to complete internships and community service in various local government departments. It also opens opportunities for academics and researchers to carry out fieldwork, studies, and academic projects that contribute to improving public management.

As part of the city’s commitment, the Municipal Administration Office will promote continuous training and academic growth for public servants and their families through collaboration with this educational institution.

María Nelly Loria López, Director of Centro Educativo California, thanked Mayor Burgueño for leading an open-door government that supports community well-being and development.

“This agreement is not just an institutional commitment: it’s a strong alliance for the future of Tijuana’s youth,” she emphasized.

Founded in Tijuana on September 21, 2009, Centro Educativo California now operates three campuses in Tijuana, San Quintín, and Vicente Guerrero. The Tijuana campus currently enrolls 293 students, with 80 in university-level programs and 213 in high school.
