Business and tourism leaders are predicting an unprecedented surge of visitors to Tijuana’s iconic Avenida Revolución this Halloween, attributing the expected historic turnout to the avenue’s recent high-profile renovation.
The famous corridor, recently transformed into a pedestrian-friendly tourist walkway, is expected to draw thousands of local and international visitors from Southern California on October 31st. The celebration is poised to significantly exceed attendance numbers from previous years.
The avenue will be decked out in festive colors and lights for the occasion, featuring a full schedule of themed events, costume contests, live music, and a diverse array of food options, solidifying its status as the region’s Halloween epicenter.
“The Halloween celebration in Tijuana has evolved into a major tradition that blends cross-border excitement with family-friendly fun and a vital economic boost. This year, we are anticipating record-breaking participation that will directly benefit our local businesses, bars, restaurants, and hotels,” said Julián Palombo Saucedo, a national councilor of Mexico’s Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce (CONCANACO SERVYTUR).

Authorities have announced that a special security and traffic operation will be in place, coordinated between municipal and state agencies, to ensure a safe and orderly environment for all attendees.
The projected economic impact is expected to surpass previous years, further aiding the recovery of local commerce and cementing Avenida Revolución’s reputation as a premier destination in northern Mexico.
“Halloween in Tijuana reaffirms our dynamic, multicultural spirit, where Mexican and Anglo-Saxon traditions come together in an atmosphere of joy and community. We are calling for security checkpoints at the entrances to the avenue and a ban on adults wearing face coverings,” he stated. “This measure is to prevent criminals from exploiting the celebrations to infiltrate the event, commit crimes, or engage in vandalism, as we have seen in the past. Our goal is to ensure this traditional celebration concludes peacefully and without incident.”
