In a digital extraordinary session, the Tijuana City Hall has approved a measure to transfer three public parcels into private hands, initiating their formal sale process.

The agreement, proposed by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, authorizes the “disincorporation” of the land from the public domain. This procedural step is required by municipal law before city-owned real estate can be sold.

Proceeds from the sales will be specifically allocated. The revenue will be proportionally directed to city funds for employee benefits, including employer contributions for medical services, pensions, and workplace accident insurance.

The three plots approved for sale are all located in the Las Palmas neighborhood:

  • Parcel 1: A 812.75-square-meter section of public right-of-way on San Pedro Avenue.
  • Parcel 2: A 1,266.79-square-meter lot on Santa Ana Street.
  • Parcel 3: A 1,299.48-square-meter lot on Santo Tomás Street.

The Chief Clerk’s Office submitted the required technical dossiers for each property for council review, in compliance with Tijuana’s Goods and Services Regulations.

With the project now approved, this agency is now formally empowered to handle all necessary administrative procedures to complete the sale of the parcels.
