Through the Tijuana: Clean City program, the government of Tijuana has improved public services and quality of life for more than 25,000 residents across three city delegations.

As part of the initiative, Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz visited the Granjas Familiares División del Norte neighborhood in the Otay Centenario Delegation to hear directly from residents and inspect the rehabilitation of over 4,800 square meters of compacted gravel roads (a project benefiting more than 1,200 people).

During the visit, he stopped at Margarita Morán Primary School to hear firsthand from students and staff and improve the school’s infrastructure. “I had the chance to walk these streets and listen to residents. We will continue working together to strengthen community infrastructure,” the mayor stated.

At El Pípila (La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez Delegation), Councilor Magaly Ronquillo Palacios and Municipal Public Services Director Josué Gutiérrez Márquez inspected work by city crews. The team cleaned 300 linear meters of roads, repaired 38 streetlights, and removed four tons of trash, improving conditions for over 20,000 residents.

Later, in El Niño (La Presa Este Delegation), Councilor Arturo Aguirre González and Delegate Representative Joaquín Alberto Sandoval Chávez walked the streets with locals to discuss community needs where they monitored road grading and cleanup efforts under the “Tijuana: Clean City” program.

A total of 800 linear meters of dirt road stabilization and 6,400 square meters of road surfacing were completed, along with trash collection and streetlight repairs on Cruz Roja, Niño Artillero, and Valle de los Niños streets. These upgrades directly benefit more than 4,000 residents and have a positive impact on surrounding neighborhoods such as Los Coyotes and Los Cascabeles.
