Tijuana City Hall is continuing to transform urban areas through its “Tijuana: Clean City” program, with recent cleanup operations in the La Presa Este and Cerro Colorado districts benefiting more than 6,200 residents.

The initiative, a cornerstone of Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz’s administration, aims to keep public spaces safe and welcoming for all residents. On Sunday, city crews began work in the Hacienda los Venados neighborhood, carrying out a range of activities to revitalize the area.

The effort included sweeping streets, maintaining green spaces, repainting curbs, applying new road markings, and removing about 13,200 pounds of trash and silt—improvements expected to enhance conditions for roughly 5,000 residents in La Presa Este.

At the same time, cleanup crews worked in the Jardín Dorado neighborhood in Cerro Colorado, clearing a 160-foot pedestrian walkway and removing silt from an area of roughly 2,700 square feet. Workers also collected about 6,600 pounds of heavy debris, helping to eliminate both visual blight and potential health hazards.

The improvements along the local boulevard are expected to benefit around 1,200 residents in the surrounding area.

City officials said the ongoing cleanup campaigns highlight the municipal government’s commitment to keeping Tijuana’s streets and public spaces clean, safe, and in good condition for everyone.
