The urban improvement efforts of the ‘Tijuana: Clean City’ program, promoted by Mayor Ismael Burgueño’s administration, continue to make progress. Several repair works were recently carried out in the México Lindo neighborhood of the La Mesa delegation.
Representing the mayor, Ranier Alejandro Falcón Martínez, council president of the Citizen Security and Civil Protection Commission, emphasized the timely attention given to the program implemented in the Mariano Matamoros neighborhood to enhance the quality of life for Tijuana families.

While touring the México Lindo neighborhood, the cleaning, pruning, and tree maintenance work, along with the painting of 500 square meters of pedestrian crossings, speed bumps, curbs, and ramps, were all inspected. Additionally, repairs and maintenance of streetlights around the Anáhuac Primary School were carried out, benefiting students and teachers.
Virginia Vargas, head of the Department of Territorial and Urban Development, explained that cleaning and sediment removal efforts are underway at the second sand trap tank, located at México Lindo Avenue and Cañón Pablo Neruda, positively impacting around 3,000 residents in the area.

Similarly, she noted that trash collection and sediment removal work is being carried out at the first sand trap tank on México Lindo Avenue and Morelia Street in the same neighborhood. Approximately 32 cubic meters of sediment will be removed, benefiting nearly 3,000 people.
As part of the tour, grading work covering 1,000 square meters was inspected on Raúl Nájera Street to level and improve the unpaved road, enhancing the quality of life for around 1,000 citizens in the area.

Residents thanked the local government for addressing their community’s needs and pledged to collaborate with authorities to keep their surroundings clean and well-maintained.
The government of Tijuana is working on implementing urban improvement programs like ‘Tijuana: Clean City’ to maintain a clean and orderly city.

This event was also attended by La Mesa delegate Bianka Najar Soto, Delegation Coordination officer Adriana Barrera, and residents of the México Lindo neighborhood.
